Today’s young working consumer has many work responsibilities that keep them occupied all day. Sometimes even to the point where they forget to eat or don’t find time to eat. This has inspired all sorts of product innovations such as snack bars, take away smoothies and protein shakes that are quick and easy as well as healthy to have.
Stressful OTG lifestyles lead to all sorts of health complications and bad eating habits. This is because those less disciplined tend to settle for the first thing they can get their hands on to eat, which tends to be unhealthy.
On-the-go is synonymous with fast-food and takeaways and as we know there are few healthy take-away options here in South Africa. Although huge growth potential and a massive opportunity to deliver solutions that cater to the health-conscious consumer.
With this stressful on-the-go life today’s young consumer leads their health often takes a back seat. Health is the ingredient for truly enjoying one’s good fortunes. Therefore without health it is not possible to enjoy the fruits of labour.
Though a consumer may not be able to slow down their stressful, fast-paced work flow they can be empowered by brands to make sure their OTG eating habits are healthy, fresh and ensure they enjoy the fruits of their labour.
