Women are at the forefront of 2017. With women’s marches happening across the world and the youth of South Africa feeling empowered to be a woman or embrace the feminine it is a great time for brands to really rally up and put a spotlight on women because social media is already doing it. Through hashtags like #feminism #feminist #womensmarch #womensrightsarehumanrights #womeninbusiness people are expressing their empowerment or their need for empowerment.
Brand implication: As a brand you can find those unique stories that narrate a woman as a hero of a story, it does not have to be a mother or even a grandmother but a woman in general. These female hero stories will not only bring empowerment to the youth and broaden their perspective on the role of a woman but it will also show your brand as one that is evolving with the times and as a respecter of women which is what is needed. Does your brand respect women? If it does, show it.
