Risk’a ntwana is a colloquial language used in the township to encourage ones risk appetite when it comes to any venture in life. Now, risk appetite is synonymous with a business venture and not so much ones destiny and life, however. This term in the township is prone to be used with anything  that might involve making a huge decision be it financially or bettering ones life.

What would a life lived on barely the mundane depict, pure boredom if you would ask me. Adrenaline and going into situation without knowing the predicted outcome is what makes life really exciting. Stretching ourselves to a point where we prove to our own self’s that it is possible. The old English phrase that says: “ never put your eggs in one basket”, in this instance does not live. Taking a chance and hoping for the best is the only assure we really have when we are encouraged with “ riska ntwana” phrase.

In hindsight, waking up everyday is essential a risk no one can guarantees hundred that in the evening they will certainly be alive. Essentially “risk’a ntwana”  life has no formula, you might land on the stars when we look at it from an optimist point of view.
