Digital extended self

Through photography and social media the consumers extended mind lives digitally. Especially on their cell phones as these are the devices they have on them all the time.

Imagine the panic or disappointment when one’s phone is lost or they forget their password for one of their social media accounts. It’s as if they have lost a part of themselves because their extended self that lives on their social media or in their picture gallery is gone forever.

Polaroid photos have been amazing because they are highly Instagrammable yet they provide the consumer with a physical photo that can be kept safely and treasured.

With so many social media and accounts its possible to forget passwords and the possibility of losing phones as a brand you can make sure consumers don’t have to lose a piece of themselves by helping them to create memories that can be physically treasured, not just digitally.
